Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu a remedy that instills confidence and promotes healthy habits in order to stay young and fit for a long time. It is a sport that was developed in Japan during and adopted inBrazil as a form of self-defense empowering those with smaller bodies being able to defend themselves from bullies and thieves.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu keeps oneself healthy with the diet you have to follow when practicing. Most people that started training BJJ only thought of it as just a way of getting a quick fix on defending yourself, but it has proven that it does more than teaching one to defend themselves, it has plenty more benefits that not only the eye can see, but what the individual would feel and learn during the course of training. BJJ is not an easy sport to master hence one would need physical and mental fitness in order to achieve. BJJ would drill you to be patient and be a goal getter no matter what obstacles you might endure during training. One would learn to embrace his/her weaknesses and learn how to turn them into strengths.
A friend of mine who travelled to Brazil for a year was a bit overweight and never used to mind what he eats or drinks, but he came back a month ago he was totally a different person he was lean and particular about what he puts into his body, when I asked him what happened to him, he simply said “Jiu Jitsu happened my friend and should try it you will reap rewards”. In its own way Jiu-Jitsu isn’t just a sport it a way of living, it engraves discipline in you as I have noticed how it changed my friend for better. With BJJ one learns to push him/herself even harder and with BJJ you will definitely notice that power of working hard.
With BJJ just physical fitness isn’t enough, you would have to be mentally fit, as you would take a long time to master all the moves that are involved in the sport. Hence it could also be practiced with your family at home; it is a sport that you could enjoy with your family whilst instilling confidents, promoting good habits within your home.
Jiu-Jitsu improves lives in a number of ways not only to mention the obvious ones such as health and being fit physically, it motivates people to improve outside the athletic life, it becomes a framework through people can learn and understand the world bringing calmness and happiness in life. It a way of reliving stress, once one enters the training, high level concentration is required, hence all that life stress is left by the entrance, thus after a tiresome day you could just walk into the gym and all that stress just vanishes into thin air.
